We'll be in Cancun (hotel zone) in a couple of weeks and are looking for a great snorkeling excursion. I've seen a lot of them online but most pick you up your hotel, take you to Cozumel, let you snorkel for 45 minutes and then take you back. Anyone know of excursions where a bit more snorkeling is involved?? :mnm:

Me too and still no takers! Lol :icon_razz:

I have 8 days to go so maybe I'll locate what I'm looking for. If I do, I'll let you know!

    Sorry :)

    Here's my recommendation... Puerto Morelos.
Snorkel Tour, Cancun Mexico | Explore Cancun's Secret Reef

Within the hotel zone area the snorkeling is not that great imho so to see the best you do need to go further afield. Puerto Morelos is half an hour away and the reef is totally undisturbed.

Cozumel will take you about 2 hrs to get there and 2 hrs back.

I'm a snorkel addict, Puerto Morelos reef does have some great snorkeling. Cozumel is great, but it's a long trip for a short snorkel. I also recommend Akumal and the Yal Ku lagoon.

Yeah, I would really like to go to Cozumel but I thought it was a bit far considering the time allowed for snorkeling. Thanks for your help.
