In the past, we have used Expedia and Orbitz. I am getting fluctuating numbers now. We are flying from Toronto. Wondering if anyone has better ideas. Thank you in advance!
We had been using Expedia mostly, and all the local airlines. Expedia was the best by far, until we found interjet.com. We had never heard of them before and went to their website and compared same dates as Expedia. Interjet offered flights that were direct (almost impossible to find from Vancouver/Bellingham/Abbotsford) and flights that arrived/departed at a decent hour and didn't have 4 hour layovers. We ended up booking through them for the same dates as Expedia offered (previously the cheapest we found) and they were $150 CAD cheaper per person! They do fly out of TO.
And they are very good. Just got off an Interjet plane 13 days ago. Cancun to Toronto. cheaper than AC or Westjet. On time and good flight. all seats have extra leg room They loaded passengers correctly and served actual food. And Corona was complimentary! We like'em so much we are already booked, return, to TTR for Week 8 in 36 days
Desire doesn't get discounted much (if at all), so unless Desire has a sale or you can get a Premier member's old discounted rate (Referrals don't get a discounted rate like at TTR), I'm not certain you'll find great deals. We're members and have been to DRM twice, and did not see any deals when we shopped around. Have heard amazing things about Interjet as mentioned above. Will try them next time !
Yes we’ve got one of those older contracts with bonus weeks that gives our guests 25% off at Desire or Temptation & comes with no need to take the sales pitch. Can’t guarantee that bonus week guests will get any members benefits during their stay but still saving 25% on any best advertised prices is pretty good.
