based on what i've read here and with some help from Henry, my friend and I decided to not stay at the Oasis. we've made up our minds so i don't want this to be another Oasis vs. everyone else thread! we decided we'll just get Oasis day passes each day, so it's just a matter of picking a different hotel ASAP, so we can work it out with our travel agent. our dates and flight info aren't changing.

with that said, we want to stay at a non-AI hotel and are trying to figure out which would be the best one. what do you guys suggest? Henry mentioned the ME, Omni, and Hyatt. we're trying to base our decision on..

    - Atmosphere - after the Oasis, which hotel will have a lot of like-minded, party-seeking people? student city offers packages to the ME and Omni, among others, so are those the safest bets as far as being around other party people? we're passive drunks, but we also don't want to come home drunk at 4am and have to worry about tippy toeing to our rooms!

    - Location - i know the Omni is next door to the Oasis, but is it better to be located near all the bars/clubs?

    - Quality - food, nicest rooms, security of stuff in your room, etc.

sorry for the long post, but it's a big decision! any help taking into account all of that stuff would be very much appreciated!!!!

we stayed at NH Krystal last year, pretty sure it wasnt AI....right in the middle of all the clubs and everything PRIME location, decent price and amenities. Walk outside and you're in party central....
