I'm gonna be there for 11 days in septemeber so wondered as when i lived there i wasn't old enough to drink
The drinking age is 21 as everywhere in the States. But, nearby and just across from Detroit is Windsor Ontario where the legal age is 19. I haven't been to Windsor lately but there are many cool clubs & bars, a big Casino, and several strip joints (naturally). In the warmer months there's plenty to do including Tigers Baseball games and you can go out and party every night if you want. Detroit has three big Casinos as well. The big nights out in Metro Detroit are really on the weekends with the most happening spots located in Royal Oak. You can get more info on events from: http://www.metrotimes.com/ or http://www.detroit.com/nightlife/
I'll be 22 when I get there so I should be partying ALOT! possibly Jobbie nooner 2....depending on it's date
Main JobbieNooner party is always the 3rd Friday in June. Probably 6/20 this year I believe, and it will be massive. There is a smaller nooner party in September, but not as good....
The one this year is on the 27th of June yeah I hear theyre always brilliant but I cant make that one as Im aiming for the vegas party and then to trip over to Michigan to see fam n friends.... Do ya do Jobbienooner?
I had to look it up, but you are correct its on the 27th this year. Last year it was earlier. A boat is required to get to the island party spot. I don't have my own boat (yet) so I rely on an invitation from friends....
