Where's the best place to get authentic mexican food close to the hotel zone? Ideally I'm looking for where the locals might eat instead of the gringos hahahah the cheaper the better
My two suggestions would be El Fish Fritanga in the hotel zone, El Fish Fritanga Pescadillas Cancún, el lugar de los Cancunenses en la Zona Hotelera But if you want the best, go to Tacos Rigo in el Centro, Avenida Palenque, SM 30. It's more than worth the trip out of the hotel zone and you'll get to experience a little of the "real Mexico".
I really don't like Tacos at all, but would definitely agree with Zina's recommendations. At Tacos Rigo you'll be able to order Tacos made with brain, lips, even eyes as well as the usual 'nicer cuts'!
