    Any advice or is this hotel a bad choice for being out of the zone ? Safe?

    When I lived there, Play Norte, at the NW end of the island was the finest and most tranquil beach I've ever been on. My favorite, world-wide. You can walk out from the shoreline about 100 feet in waist deep transparent blue water . . . paradise ! The Hotel Na Balam at the end of the beach has a great little beach bar . . .
