OK, I have read conflicting reports on the beach. How is the beach, and how is the swimming, snorkeling at the resort. Is it worth bringing a mask, snorkel and fins, or just stay off the beach and out of the water.
I wanted to go in the water and packed everything for it...but we never went in the water because we never wanted to leave the sexy pool
ok beach is just ok, water n snorkling at the resort not so much. But there are places u can go to snorkle, like Isla Mejeres
The beach is good for sunbathing. The sand is clean and deep. I'd say it's not worth it to bring your mask and fins. There's very little biodiversity but the water is clear. There's no reef, just a healthy seaweed patch. Downside is that there's no snorkeling; upside is that if you do the kayaking or wind surfing there's no worrying about getting sliced up by coral if you fall in. You'll get about waist high in good, rock-free sand but then it's growing seaweed. Hope that helps!
If you can get on one of Steve's Boobs cruises, you'll have plenty of time to snorkle over near the Island!
