Anyone ever buy anything from the beach vendors selling jewelry or cigars on the beach? They have a large selection, :mnm: and I think that's the only thing the first timers to TTR don't know about. Anyone want to elaborate?:69:
We have bought from them several times. Prices are usually pretty negotiable. We have couple of starfish that Annette uses for decorations, and she has bought some wraps that have lasted well. I have a buddy that I usually pick up some cigars for and he is usually pretty happy with those. Their supply of good is not nearly as extensive as on the beach at Jamaica!!
...........& I guess that is a news flash for something in Cancun to be something other than genuine. Still pretty good for not being the real thing.
If you go to the cuban restaurant across from McDonalds....there are only real cigars. I have been duped in the past by the beach vendors for fake cigars....
Check this out...http://www.cigarnexus.com/counsel/counterfeit/...you will see that Cohibas(one of the more popular beach cigars)...do not come in a glass top box....which is pretty much all you see on the beach and the souviner/gift shops... Cuban cigars are not such a big deal for us because we can buy them in Canada
They also sell more then what they are showing. Quite a bit of recreational drugs. So don't be alarmed or shocked if they should ask you and I quote almost word for word (as I laugh so hard every time I hear it) "you want some Blow, Weed, Ecstasy...what do you need?!" :flagireland:
