Beach Restoration

I just read http://www.cancuncare.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=43982 and have a question. According to the post, the restoration project has begun at kilometer 10 and his heading north towards Punta Cancun. Is it to be inferred from that information that the restoration will not run to the south as well? Does anyone have any information?

Basically, they will go to Punta Cancun then head back south (they are already heading south from Le Blanc) probably avoiding the Royal Resort and head south and NOT doing the last 900 meters at Punta Nizuc.
