Playas Limpias '08 Dirección General de Ecología is having a beach clean up this coming Sunday August 24th. Last year more than 2 tons of garbage were collected at the beach clean up. That garbage was separated and much of it was recycled. Come and help take care of Cancun's beaches!
We did this last year- it was hot work but very very satisfying. Shame hardly anyone turned up to join in the fun. Tracey x
I've been told that we should bring gloves. The city is supposed to provide bags. And they will have volunteers help with separating the garbage. I'll be going to Nizuc, figuring not so many folks will go there and they will need more help there. As Tracey pointed out, it's weird that they have not included the very dirty Playa Langosta in the clean up.
Is Playa Langosta were the Cove was? If it is, it's probably not included because of the parking situtation....there is no parking.
