I'm considering a trip to TTR for my wife's 50th Birthday, but she is picky about a place with a nice bathroom and beach...the rest is party time to her. Can someone please reply as to how the baths and beach are at TTR? The reviews of the hotel only say that it is dated. Thanks and hope to meet everyone soon!:daveandmo:
If I were going to Cancun to spend time on an awesome beach...I would not stay at Temptation. There are dozens of other resorts on the other side of the 7 that make up the hotel zone that will have a substantially better beach.
its been a while since we have been there but if i remember correctly the bathrooms are pretty nice. You can go to tripadvisor.com and look at pictures of the bathroom. The beach leaves alittle to be desired. It is probably the worst beach we have ever been to but you dont go there for the beach, you go there for the party and the great people. It is not a 5 star resort by any means but it is definitely our favorite place to go due to how much fun we had. My wife and i never go to the same place twice cause there are SO many places to visit in the world but this is a place we will return to many times cause there is no place like it.
The beach isn't great but it's different. There aren't waves over there but the water is Chrystal and if you like to snorkel or sail, it is perfect. You can always stay somewhere else and buy a pass for TTR. We have done that before for a couple of party days. If you do that, I highly recommend the Boobs Cruise. Also, you could plan a few nights farther south at Playa Car and then come to TTR for the last few days of your trip to party in Cancun. You can build a trip like that on Expedia and save $. Last note, if she likes bathrooms, at TTR you can get a room with the jetted bathtub on the balcony. It is Wonderful, this time of year. So, from a girl that is has platinum membership rewards at Marriott/ Ritz and loves the beach, let me say, TTR is super worth it!!!! It's a great place to relax and let your hair down. If your top 2 criteria are beach and bathrooms, TTR should not be on your list. That said repeaters don't go there for the beach or bathrooms .
As already said if beach and bathrooms are your priority then go to a Sandals . Beach is fine but not even close to beaches in the Dominican or Cuba or lots of other places . The regular bathrooms are dated , can be a tad moldy and the fixtures corroded due to the salt air ......its Mexico not the Seychelles !!!
We were there for 8 days and I can't life of me remember what the bathrooms looked like. I guess someone drank way to much!
Thanks for the input everyone! The party atmosphere is what attracted us to TTR so it sounds like if I book the jetted tub room she'll be fine with the beach after a "few" drinks. Not looking for 5 star, but didn't want it to be a dump either. See you in late February/early March.
I personally like the beach versus the big waves. Bring her an inflatable mattress.. bathrooms. Nothing special aside from the 2 head shower stalls.. lol Sent from my SM-N900W8 using Tapatalk
