    At least he isn't suffering anymore :(

    jeez pretty intense title lol dont beat around the bush or anything....

    but i agree it is a huge loss to the horse racing world, very sad day for racing and sports fans. At least he is out of pain though

    HAHAHA yeah, I figure using that as a subject title would make more ppl want to read it!!!!!

    I've been reading everything that came out on this poor animal, I thought he was way on his way to a full recovery. I hate seeing these kinds of stories.

    the sad part is....if this horse wasnt worth all those millions to it's owners....it would have been put down a very long time ago.

    It is sad.

    He was such a beautiful horse but it appears they just couldn't end his suffering.

    Barbaro was a warrior. He fought for 8 months but it was an uphill battle from the start.

    Unfortunately, we will have more Barbaro stories if the horse racing world doesn't change it's attitude. Seems the quest for speed has resulted in horses that have legs too thin to support the wear and tear they go through. Hopefully they will change their breeding techniques to breed a more sturdy race horse. :(

    I was so sad to hear this. I had been hoping he would recover and live a long life.
