I was looking at Google Earth to show a coworker where we were going and I saw a popup of reviews, I clicked on it and this was the first one and I had to laugh... Cheryl Ables reviewed 8 months ago Quality Poor to fair Facilities Poor to fair Service Poor to fair This is the worse hotel I have ever been to, and I was a flight attendant for 18 yrs; if that doesn't say everything I don't know what does! The minute we arrived the service was poor and the staff continued to heckle and SELL YOU or timeshare! The drinks are 3" tall and good luck waiting for the bar tender to wait on you at all! The BEDS AND LINENS WERE DISGUSTING...they smelled so bad I literally gagged! The service is horrible horrible horrible! Desperately trying to find a new hotel for the next 3 days I am here in Cancun! A V O I D this hotel! If someone said "I'll give you $1000/night to stay there I'd rather stay home!" This is how I see it breaking down... Her first statement... "I was a flight attendant for 18 yrs; if that doesn't say everything I don't know what does!" No offense to any flight attendants but I've only had one that was ever friendly or helpful. Next... "the staff continued to heckle and SELL YOU or timeshare" Really been there 7 times and never have we ever been heckled not even our first trip when it was BBG. Then... "The drinks are 3" tall and good luck waiting for the bar tender to wait on you at all!" Really were you at Tempation? And... "The BEDS AND LINENS WERE DISGUSTING...they smelled so bad I literally gagged! The service is horrible horrible horrible!" Again, were you at the same resort we have all stayed at? Last... "If someone said "I'll give you $1000/night to stay there I'd rather stay home!"" You are a dumb ass so come back. All the rest of the reviews were excellent, people like this don't need to ruin our vacations with that I am glad she will NEVER return. Jim
Each to their own opinion. My day job is copy-editing though and the grammar/punctuation/spelling mistakes in that review are just awful!
The good thing about living in this day and age is that social media plays a big part in business, the bad thing about this is that social media plays a big part in business. Many businesses hire people to write bad reviews of places that are popular, it's disgusting but it happens. The place is over-booked March-May, I think that tells you all you need to know :sunny:
18 years as a flight attendant? I wish she would have said which airlines so I never fly with them if she is representative of their staff.
