I'll be running some automated ad testing over the next several days to determine best ad positions, types and sizes. Some may be intrusive or too large etc. If so this is just temporary, at this point I'm just gathering data and will refine accordingly. If anyone has any comments then please post below.
Thanks No, not at the moment. I'm trialing Auto Adsense ads, which test kind of like Ezoic but with less ad inventory I think. I do intend to try out Ezoic again, but need to get the Cloiudflare issue fixed first. Also my Ezoic rep said she'd chat to me after Thanksgiving and I never heard back again.
Gotta admit I don’t like the adverts. Appreciate the need to monetize the site to manage costs but it reduces the user experience and I must admit I usually drift away permanently from sites with adverts. We would be happy to consider an annual CCC members fee though.
This new advertising on a Android mobile device it's terrible takes up way to much room, not sure about on it works on a Apple phone. On a real computer it's ok not much change from before the change, once again not using a Apple device. T
I have ad blocker on my computer, so it’s not a big deal. I just noticed it on my iPad, and hate it enough I was going to start a thread asking about what happened. I gu as if they have to be there. Then a small one on the top banner is better than the large ones I see in the middle of a thread.
Well....., Cancuncare has for us historically been a place where we can escape a bit from reality and take a sexy break from daily life. Now with these adverts popping up for the local daily life it’s lost some of its allure and escapism to Cancun for memories and planning for next trips. We are using iPhone’s to view and keep in touch with friends. Is there a solution for us? Any chance we can just pay a small member fee and lose the adverts ? Honestly will likely migrate to Facebook groups exclusively if the adverts from home persist here.
