We just got back from a week at Temptation. Ready to book our 2nd trip this year and are considering early August. Good time to go? Too hot? How is the crowd?

I went this past July 25-Aug 2, it was so hot and unbearable we said we’d never go back that time. The water felt like piss.

Not that hot in August. Not much different than June or July. Cancun really doesn’t get that hot. It’s moderated by the trade winds. We always travel in the summer and wish it was a little warmer. But we love hot hot hot humid weather. The more sweltering the better. The day temp in August will only usually be a consistent 88 to 91. Night s about 10 degrees cooler. We have even been a little chilled on the beach in Cancun some summer days.

It’s usually a slow month for occupancy. We were told that and experienced it first hand. I wouldn’t say any hotter than the other summer months. Come back in June and say hi

I've been in August and Sept, and I personally find it way too hot and not enjoyable (day and night). My wife doesn't have issue with the heat though. The pool is also like a bathtub.

We usually escape home to the UK for the month of August because it is too hot and humid, and also a quieter time of year.

Didn't make it back last year for obvious reasons, hopefully this year will be a go.

August is hot!! And can be rainy with tropical storms moving in or around. We went last week of August 2020 and rained daily. Not just a 10 min normal Caribbean rain but all day rain. I think 2 sunny days out of 7. Will never go that close to hurricane season again.
