August 21-28 Hey everyone, myself and four of my friends will be there August 21-28. Anyone else gonna be there for that week? Did we pick a good place for that time of the year for five single guys?
honestly? No. Clubs will be fun for you, but pool area will probably be a sausage festival with you 5 there, this is mostly a couples resort.
I will have left already But I know many more will be going then! The hotel will definitely not be at full capacity then.... but the good news is your chance of meeting ladies are a lot higher. It is not spring break which is a TOTAL sausage feast..... so your chances are better! I disagree that this is a couples resort. Maybe temptations is, but I've been at GP 6 times with a ton of people.... none of us couples. Many of those I know who return yearly, I would say about 40-45% are couples. The rest are huge groups of singles (bachelor/ette parties, groups of friends, etc). It may be different depending on the month though. I will wait for 808Sensation's input as he was there last year during that time!
Not staying in the Golden but theres 6 of us(3 couples) heading out to the Great Parnassus for 2 weeks on 30th august and im sure we'll take a trip or two over to the Golden to have a wee nosey.
august is pretty laid back...... i do two trips to GP every year, first in middle of spring break (Middle of March) to go crazy by celebrating my winter hibernation and just go all out.... then i go back either august or Sept (did last week of august last year, doing Earrly Sept this year) Its really LAID back and honestly just chill this time of the year. most of the time, its just me, jose and a handful of people at tiki bar at night---but nothing crazy.
