The clubs are just like any big club in any major city. You can wear whatever but you'd rather look sharp. They do get really hot inside though. For fair warning, bring realy men's shoes (NOT just sandals!!) with you, because the nice restaurants in the resort will not allow you in wearing flip flops or shorts.

Every year ive gone, I have been able to wear the dressier sandals into the clubs, I havent tried flip flops or anything haha..I dont know if theres a rule or not, but my leather sandals have worked. And Ive been able to wear khacki shorts into the restaurants in the resort also, just not swimming trunks or flip flops, but ive had no problem wearing khacki shorts a short sleeved collared shirt and my leather sandals....again, i dont know if ive been luck for years or what. just sharing. Have a good trip

I just want to make sure that they don't allow shorts in the nice restaurants? I wasn't planning on bringing any long pants.

New rules for the specialty restaurants at the resort, and now the guys cannot wear short. Had to sit outside at the Italian, and bought a pair of pants for the Asian. I have never taken pants before, and have never had a problem at the downtown Cancun restaurants that I have been to. No problem with shorts at any of the clubs.

At the restaurants on the resort you cannot wear shorts if you are a guy. You must wear long pants (jeans are ok, they were the only thing I had) and shoes. Dress sandals do not count even though they look nicer than tennis shoes.

I can squeeze a pair of jeans and tennis shoes in somewhere.

    Thanks, we're leaving in 18 hours. :D
