there is an atm in the store inside the resort, but several people had problems with card info being stolen and theft of money from their accounts. I have used it with no problems the last two years I went. There is another across the street from hotel, i Did not feel safe using that one, had some guy harassing me trying to Sell me Shit, when i was using the machine. Get money from airport machines is the best option.
There is a santanders bank and ATM near the mall. You can take bus there.better use at airport, so you don't need to travel. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I used the one in the resort, and the one across the street. They both charged a high fee (like 5 bucks or something), but they gave me the money I needed, and I didn't have any information stolen. The one problem that I had with the one in the hotel was that the first few screens were not in English, and the person working in the store didn't speak English, so they couldn't help me. I was also hung-over/still drunk so I wasn't thinking clearly. This could be a problem if I messed up more than 3 times and locked my account. Luckily I concentrated and was able to activate my brain and navigate my way successfully in Spanish
If you go outside the resort and to the small convenience store to the left (as you're facing the street) - on the outside, around the corner there's an ATM run by a major bank (Santander possibly?). Have used it many times without issues. No need to even cross the street.
The ATM in the two posts above is the one I would recommend. It's a bank machine rather than a private one with higher fees and also dispenses a choice of Dollars or Pesos. Same side of the street, go to the left to the end of the hotel parking lot and it's on the back side of the convenience store.
