AT GOV right now.

    Tonight I am in room on the second floor and so thankful for the internet and how quickly information can change hands.

    We arrived at 9 am from Florida, we booked a vacation in November for my 2 brothers and I , we all have spouses . When deciding where to stay,my brother has been here 3 times before and based on his recommendation we came to GOV.

    First there has been substantial improvements recently, to the grounds, things appear freshly manicured and the bottom floor of the hotel is nice.

    That is where the good news ends. We booked, 3 rooms all with king beds because we are married couples. Once we arrive our desk staff says the rooms are not ready but gives us bracelets to begin enjoying the resorts. And we do, the beach is nice, the weather is great we have lunch and drinks, and relax.

    Once we get to the rooms, they are all double bed rooms, and all the kings are "not available" we then go own to the desk and inquire about how this can be as we booked some time ago. They say availability is based on when people check in, we have been here since 9 am, but still not being provided the rooms we requested.

    SO we give up and enter the rooms, only to find the A/C does not work, the fridge is warmer than the room, there are not drinks in the room, and to top it off, two of the rooms have no hot water. One of the rooms, the shower head falls off in the shower so guess the hot water thing doesnt matter as much since a shower is not possible.

    We notice the management, the respond as the did earlier that if we don't like it we can change resorts, but other wise its all they have. Which is something all of you should consider before coming here, if there attitude is, there is no hot water and deal with it, or move on. Then may don't go to foreign country and trust that you will taken care of by a resort who has a cavalier love it or leave mentality.

    We will update tomorrow as to the status of any changes but, are not optimistic. This is a real time report we are on day one of five.

    Can you post pictures of your rooms ?

    Is the resort at full capacity ?

    Hope the rest of your stay is better.

    Hello! After Reading this review, I spoke with the Supervisor at the Front Desk.
    He said is aware about your situation and that he has the three rooms ready to be changed tomorrow to a King size. Also he said he reported the hot wáter and apparantly has been fixed already.
    Please, let us inform that due to high season is hard to guarantee all room requests, the hotel is 100% full! As a suggestion for the rest of the people, please, please, please, send us an email ahead of time when you have room requests because sometimes we never get the information from the Travel Agencies. However, as I said, we cannot guarantee it.
    I hope day two is much better than 1. And also, as a suggestion, for any questions or requests please stop by VIP with the concierge/guest services. They are available from 07 am to 10 pm.

    Thanks for the info. When you update us tomorrow please share your demographics... Ie age, what you are looking for in a vacation (relax, party, ???).

    It helps put the update in context. For example we want a good party. If you say the resort stinks because it is boring then it likely won't work for us. If you say it stinks because it is too loud with too many topless ladies then sounds great for us! Ha Thanks for the update. Looking forward to hearing more about the vibe tomorrow and if they fixed the issues.

    Thank you for being willing to take time out of your vacation to share your honest impressions. Like Jen&Kyle said, we all have different priorities, so if you just tell it like it is, it really helps us make the best decisions.

    Air conditioning not working, warm fridge, no rooms available to check in early, non-responsive management? Didn't they say that they weren't trying to be another TTR?

    Double beds? This is clearly a carry over from their family themed, recent history -

    Valentina, I really hope this is being addressed very soon. there is no way my wife and I are going to roll the dice on getting what we paid for - king (ok even a queen) sized bed. If the rooms are going to have two beds, do like TTR and have two queen - yes there are apllications for such at an adult themed hotel.

    So even if we email we are still getting lucky or not?
