So I will be going from 3/12 to 3/19. From Los Angeles it looks like my only option is to get there in the late afternoon or 9-10am. Which would you guys recommend? I booked at the BeLive Grand Cancun and i think their check in isnt until 3pm. The majority of flights that will get me there before noon, are red eyes.
im getting there at 11am i would go early because everyone just leaves their stuff with the guys up front and they checkin early so u dont have to wait on that 2 hour line come 3pm. I check in early and come back and just pick up the keys. Party party party in the meantime
Check in is at 3, but that doesn't mean you can't show up and get your armband and start hanging out, you just may not have a room at that time. Get there early man, enjoy it.
Of course, you could also attempt to provide a reasonable tip (say $20). This has resulted in some VERY early check-ins for me, both in Cancun and other places. There are enough people with early flights (i.e. 9am, requiring them to leave at 6am) that if the front desk staff are incentivized to check you in early, they will...
Considering Oasis may not be full this year, early check in should be very possible. Usually the check in time is just a guideline, they only strictly enforce it when the hotel is full. And remember, you will most likely not get to the hotel til 2 hours after you land because the line at customs will be ridiculously long.
I have yet to book my flight solely because all of the flights come in late afternoon/early evening...it's a waste of a day, get there and enjoy it early!
I kind of done a whoopsie with my flights!! I originally wanted to fly out from london on the 9th and arrive at cancun on the 10th early morning so i did not loose a day. . . turns out i will be arriving in cancun on the 9th around 11pm. Can a tip get you checked in this early? I am sure in the worst case we can get a room somewhere for the night but i think it will be hard work, i dont mind slumming it on a all nighter if need be but with all the luggage it makes things hard. Anybody got any tips on what would be my best way out of this pickle?
