Are there cabs at the airport or should I make reservations for transportation?

Just trying to figure out whether I can just jump in a cab from the airport or should I plan ahead and book a shuttle? 68 days and counting......

 

You can do either cabs are available, I recommend USA Transfers. Book it about 1 week before travel and both getting and return trips are taken care of.

USA Transfers were excellent both times I used them. They are right there when you walk out to the terminal and both times were at TTR for the return transfer on time. Drivers drove safe and the vans were clean. Drivers are very talkative and informative

 

Amstar is a shared shuttle service and is $28 round trip for transfers to am from the airport.

The only problem with shared shared shuttles is you will stop at every resort for the people you are riding with, Temptation is one of the farthest from the airport in Cancun, it's gonna be a long trip. It's $55 USD round trip with USA Transfers and 20 minutes to TTR

You will definitely want to book a transfer company. We always use USA Transfers. They are very professional and the drivers will give you information along the way from the airport to TTR.
Keep in mind that Temptations is one of the furthest resorts from the airport, so a shared bus will take awhile to get to TTR. Nothing worse than being in Cancun, ready to get your party on and can't get to your resort in a timely fashion.
Also, when you've made it through the final check area at the airport, walk completely out of the airport. There will be multiple people trying to get your attention to sell you an excursion or they will pretend to be your transfer company and put you in an expensive ride. The transfer companies are all outside with plainly marked people holding signs or the names of the transfer company on their shirts.

USA Transfers is the way to go. I think there is even a link on this site you can book through. They're always very prompt and professional and get you to the resort quickly. But if you are bent on using a cab there will be at least 100 of them at the airport, although the price is usually more than the comfy USA Transfers van.

 

Get transportation before hand it's cheaper we went threw cancun riveramaya and they was great they showed up in a suv Roundtrip for just the 2 of us was $50 they are on facebook but prices change due to time but they was cheapest friendly and very good

If you go with USA Transfers book it about a week before you begin your travel. Our flights changed slightly with different flight numbers a few days back and will confuse things with them. Last years first trip to TTR we booked 1 week before our travel date and USA Transfers were great and on time.
