I have to be in the city centre with my wife each day. We want to be able to just relax and be able to walk the beaches after.
Is there an area of hotels in the Hotel Zone that has that less crowded beaches and somewhat tranquilo....Our travel agent says there is no such thing. But I wanted if that is true.

I am looking forward to it. We were thinking of playa del carmen. But because we have to be in town each day for a few hours. We think it is more economical to stay in the hotel zone. But I could be wrong.

Thanks...if you have your own opitions.

Go to the southern end of the hotel zone. South of the Hilton and north of Club Med. You can stay there in hotels and Condos and that is the quietest part of the hotel zone since there are no clubs and few restaurants and some small groceries.

I spent a few days in Playa del Carmen recently and the beach near my hotel was not tranquil at all. It was packed full of people. Lots of places in Cancun are more mellow than THAT, lots!

Yes, the southern end of Cancun's hotel zone is quieter, try that. But if you just avoid spring Breakers here Cancun is not all that crazy anyway, at least not everywhere. It's not hard to have a mellow time here.

    Thanks...One question

Thanks for the help and advice everyone....
Is it the Hilton Cancun Golf & Spa Resort you are refering to. That area looks great, do you have any idea of other hotels near there?

I hope to find it....That beach looks like what we are looking for!

Here is a hotel map from this site check it out, and yes that is the Hilton Cancun Golf & Spa Resort. In my picture in the other thread you can just see part of the Hilton. Another quiet beach is Playa Langosta at KM 5 right by the Casa Maya hotel. You can swim here easily as it is protected from the big waves. But there are no services here. We get a cooler from walmart and bring our own beverages and some tortas from the small convienence stores downtown. Then we leave the cooler for the maids.

    Have a great trip!

    Quiet

We always, including 2 weeks from now, stay at the Westin.

It's always been very quiet. They have one of the best beaches. And the bus through the hotel zone stops right in front.

Stay at Villas Ambiance or the Presidente.Turn left when facing the sea and walk for 2 minutes and you will find a beach with nobody on it.! Its the best beach in Cancun .
