Are any of the rooms that overlook the quiet pool area considered to be Deluxe?

We just booked the basic Deluxe Room (not ocean view) and would prefer, if possible, a room that has a balcony overlooking the quiet pool area. Are any of the rooms in that area considered to be just the Deluxe variety? If yes, what is the best way to go about requesting such a room?

I think "Deluxe" just means that the air conditioner doesn't work.

We always seem to get a Deluxe room.

roll the dice and ask at the desk. Especially at a busy time of year there's not too much else you can do. Besides who spends a lot of time in their room anyways?

We ask every year for the last 4 years to have a room overlooking the quiet pool and have always got what we asked for. Depends when you check in .. If it is an early check in you have a better chance.

Thanks. Asked for that last year but it didn't do much good as we ended up with a room on the other side of the resort with a nice balcony view of the bus stop. :) . But otherwise the room was ok and, more importantly ..quiet!!
Will give it another try this year.

if you want to guarantee a room around the quiet pool upgrade to a Jacuzzi suite. They are all around the quiet pool and all on the ground floor. Depends on how many are booked you can sometimes upgrade for $35 us per night.

Try doing the express check in 15 days prior to arrival and make your request. It might work, it might not but never hurts to try!!

Not to burst your bubble but we have been 9 times and different rooms. I don't think there is anything "deluxe" about any of them. They are great rooms but all have been pretty well the same. More just a marketing thing I think
