Hi all. We went to TTR from April 25 - May 5 and thought we'd post a recap for those still to enjoy vacation and with any worries about the resort. This was our 2nd time to TTR after having spent 5 days there last year so we returned knowing what to expect. It was very enjoyable but also different from the previous year. The rooms are very nice. We luckily had an ocean-front suite last year which was great, but also had no complaints about the regular room we had this time around. We did, however, have to change rooms as the first night we were next to Paty-O's and the partying didn't end till 4:00 am - luckily we were exhausted from the trip. The resort itself was clean and well-kept as always. The beach was very nice and the ocean was warm. The ambiance at the resort was certainly more subdued. Security was around and a couple of times interrupted body shots and even confiscated the whipped cream. They were similarly present at Paty-O's. Even the activities team games around the pool were more subdued - I mean - paper airplane toss?? Oh well, we were cool in the pool with drinks in our hands. The other guests were friendly, and sometimes clique-y but we met some great people from Alberta, Arkansas, Ohio, etc. There were stories about an illness going around the resort. Not to worry. We didn't get sick and weren't aware of anyone else getting ill either. So, enjoy the great food at all of the specialty restaurants. As for clubbing, for those newbies to Cancun, Coco Bongo's is a MUST see. Nothing like it anywhere else. I also heard good things about Slice but we didn't go there. Take part in the theme days/nights as available. We had a great time at Rainbow day and Glow-in-the-Dark night. Steve's Boobs Cruise was nice. The water was calm so no need to be worried about being seasick. The crew was great and the scenery was picturesque. It was another nice trip to TTR and we may try to return there same time next year. Enjoy!
Wayne & Debbie, It was great meeting you guys!! You were some of the people that helped make our fist trip to TTR a success! Some of us are planning to check out Cabo in November....would love for you guys to join us!
Great Trip Report! We stayed 3 steps up from Paddy Os :musik001: :musik001: :sauer024: and know exactly what it's like that close to party central, ear plugs help alot. We're getting ready to book our second trip :icon_biggrin: which will most likely be March 10th to 17th 2012. We missed alot of the nightlife our first trip last March 2011 due to being shy and sleepy :aktion061:by 10 pm most every nite, have to start drinking a bit later in the morning I guess, LOL! We ask for our room beside Patyo's on purpose. It means I never miss the party and we are out until 3 or 4 every night. Thanks for the trip report and glad you had a great time.

Had fun with you guys again this year! Maybe we should randomly book next year's vacation because we will OBVIOUSLY be there at the same time again...haha.
