I have been reading some different threads and some have mentioned an Anything Goes night. Now we were newbies last year and didn't have a clue about all the different theme nights (except for lingerie/casino night and white party night (that I don't think happened or was moved outside or something)) but we don't remember any Anything Goes night. What does that entail? And what is the official theme nights? We did see some other unofficial ones (I think from CCC site like Pirate night etc) when we were there last year.
Temptations offerr a games show that night as well. Very fun! If you go be willing to take part in it makes it more fun. They break the club up to 4 teams and each team has a captain. They have a list of things the captain has to get from his team. The items they ask for can be anything wild and fun. Each team gets point based on how fast they supply the items. If your team is last to get the item thye captain has to do a shot!!! It gets fun and wild as the game goes on!!!
April addicts Keep an eye on the April Addicts threads,, we are a very large group,, over 200 last year. We have some great people in the group that organize theme nights (mainly Kim ) It is a bit early but you could go and check last years threads to give you an idea. The April Addicts theme nights are a lot more fun then the resorts due to the excellent organization and participation , in fact other groups have copied our theme nights repeatedly . You picked the best month to go !
I take it then that the resort is doing one activity while CC is doing another. Is this correct? I imagine it would easy to find out what and where the resort events are but how do you find out about what and where CC is doing? Is there somewhere in Cancun to get costumes? Are CC events invitation only or is it proper to just show up?
CCC events are come-one come-all, the more the merrier! The only requirement is that you know it's happening and pack for it! Check here on CCC for a thread dedicated to theme nights for the month (or week) you are going to be at the resort. Some months there are people who are great organizers (like Monique in September, Kim in April and October, and Sue in Nov/Dec) who will get the thread started with ideas, and then everyone chimes in. Other months, discussions about theme nights might be in the roll call thread for that month. Sometimes there is not a large CCC presence at the resort, so theme nights do not really get off the ground. Just depends when you are going to be there. If you can't find a theme nights thread for your month by 3 months in advance, ask about it on the roll call for your month of travel. Feel free to start a thread if no one has done so! The best participation tends to be for naughty schoolgirl nights. The resort theme nights are posted on the TTR website. I was just there a week ago, and only 2 people had togas on for White Night (which the resort has changed to Bacchanalian Night), but tons of people do participate by wearing white. CCC members will often add Glow Night to White Night (bring glow sticks, rings, jewelry, anything that glows). Red Night is starting to get some participation, but still minimal (it's a new theme for the resort as of this spring). lingerie Night is a must-do, and gets lots of participation. The rest of the resort theme nights haven't really gotten off the ground as far as I could tell during my April and September trips. On theme nights, most people change into their theme wear after dinner, and then head to Paty-O's. lingerie Night starts at Nice Shoes with Casino Night at 9:30, although there is a lingerie fashion show with professional models beforehand in Paty-O's...I've never made it to that. Participating in theme nights is a great way to get to know other CCC members, and inhibitions tend to fall by the wayside when you are in costume. And we certainly don't want inhibitions to get in the way of having fun at TTR, do we?
This will be our third time. Don't remember Anything Goes Night before, but we're definitely in for October 7. Anyone there from 10/5 - 10/9, look for us. We'll have orange wrist bands (and plenty to share).
Be ready to have a blast and be ready to play along they will ask for allkids of things that make it a ton of fun!!!!
I just had a thought, maybe CCC should set up a little welcome booth that gives out wristbands and greets all those of us coming. Especially on busy weeks like Halloween.
