Just booked the August 12-17 TTR stay and the flights down/back from H-town (Boo-Yah! by the way).

First time doing that as a member. Sweet, and swift, the way I like that sort of thing to go. One call to each provider, and all done. Thing is, in my confirmation email from Original Resorts, I received an offer to provide the Private Airport Transfer operated by Original Resorts (or maybe contracted to them at a discount from someone to guarantee some business, I'm not sure and can't tell from what I have).

The price is nice, $70 for the round trip, $35 one-way.

Question is, do I want to use them? Are the vehicles/drivers dependable, timely and clean?

Anyone have any experience with TTR's own transfer shuttle? It's probably a Suburban sized vehicle, since it says up to 4-6 passengers.

We booked the USA Transfer for our trip...IN 8 DAYS!!!! I booked at $55 round trip for both of us(not each) in a private car. There were a lot of recommendations to use them & booking was incredibly easy too. I personally thought that was a great price because we heard the transportation was going to be expensive! Sure, it's only a $15 price difference from your cost.....BUT that's an extra $15 for TIPS!!!!!

The hotel transfers are contracted out to a company called Translamex.

Years ago 2003-2005 when we ran our old Premier Nights deal (try Premier at regular rates) we used Translamex and although most of the time everything was fine there were problems every now and again.

I'd advise using USA Transfers, besides the fact they are $15 cheaper at $55 round trip I cant remember a single complaint yet scores of positive reviews.

The Premier membership email makes it sound like it's free at first, but then once you read on you realize it costs money. I will be booking with USA Transfers based on the price and all the great reviews from the board.

I too can vouch for USA Transfers. Used them the first time our 2nd trip and they were already waiting for us even though our plane arrived about 10 minutes early. They took us straight to our oversized van and straight to the resort. After clearing customs, we were at the sexy pool in about 45 minutes (including check-in and our room)!

Great service and great price! :aktion033:

We've used USA Transfers (2-3 times now) after the recommendations on this board. I can't speak ill of the other companies since we've never used them, but USA Transfers has always treated us well.

My vision is simple. Translamex is a little more expensive....

USA Transfers is cheaper and Steve makes a bit for all he does for this site.

For what its worth we have used TransBeach which is the one you are referring to since premier started using them whenever that was and we have never had any issues. They are always standing there with the little sign when we land and are always on time to pick us up on our return trip. We usually average anywhere from 45 minutes to 1 hr from the time we land until the time we are at the Premiere desk checking in and has even been quicker depending on customs. The other one USA Transfers is also reputable. I believe we have used them in the past, or at least the name sounds familiar and I don't recall having any issues so you probably can't go wrong. We use Trans Beach because we just book it all at the same time through Premiere, but whatever you do book transportation that will take you directly to the resort. Years ago when we first started coming to Cancun we paid for the shared bus or van whatever it is called and it really stunk because they always started dropping passengers at the opposite end of Hotel zone and it took forever to get to the resort.

$70 for a round trip is rediculous, you can get a taxi from the airport for $35-40 and taxi's to the airport are flat rate $25, so even at the extreme end $5 less than taking their transfers and taxi's are ALWAYS on YOUR time.
