Anyone Planning A Liquor Store Run At TTR Soon? - CAKE VODKA

Is anyone planning on going to a liquor store while in Cancun in next few days or weeks while at TTR? Just looking for someone to do a huge favor if they are. I really want to avoid packing several bottles of our favorite alcohol, as i don't want the hassle of buying wine protectors and the extra weight in luggage, when it's clearly going to be needed for Jess' 30 pair of shoes. If anyone is going to Walmart, or liquor store while at resort, or duty free while at the airport and could just look to see if they carry CAKE VODKA, I would be forever grateful. Just want to try and find out someway, if we are able to get it somewhere while at TTR to avoid the hassle of packing several bottles. Thanks, Ed

We buy at the duty free before leaving the airport or duty free in US airport. Not sure of selection on flavor vodka though.

I plan on making a fun store run, I would like to pick up some Crown Royal, Bombay gin and I am crossing my fingers the have Bulleit bourbon.

 

I don't think you are going to have much luck.

La europea had an ok selection of flavored vodka, but no cake.

Walmart and sams have a little Absolut, but not much else.

Im guessing your a fan of a pinnacle or 3 olives product.

We do exactly what you said

Put a handle of our vodka in our bags.

Pinnacle is slightly better than 3 olives because its plastic.

Can't buy Fireball anywhere that we saw either! They have no idea what it is! We brought some and it was gone in 2 days! 4 liters!

 

We are bringing some alcohol as well, but we dump it into a plastic bottle..so no breakage!! It would solve your wine protectors but not the weight. Anyways, all the clothes should be really tiny so even with the shoes you should have room!!!

I am a huge fan of cake and I figured that they would not have it down there. I am planning to put it in a plastic bottle for 3 reasons, 1) weight, 2) disguise and 3) breakage. If my bag gets 'looked' at, I figure that Dasani water bottle would not "disappear" or be suspicious.

Not sure if I am going to bring anything else, but so far...I am definitely bringing cake and maybe cherry. :cheerleaders:

Jeff is giving me grief for my several pairs of shoes and this is the first year that I want to take my own alcohol! :angel1:

Looked all over in Cancun.. Nothing. No cake or vanilla vodka anywhere.. Plenty of flavored rums.. Only vodkas I could find was plain and mango..
