i got an airline voucher and want to book 3nights all inclusive. everywhere online is about $750 USD while alpharooms.com is only $497USD. i see that its european based website and im in the states.... is this place legit?
Yeah Alpharooms is legit - there are quite a few threads about them and people book with them all the time. They are UK based, hotel prices in the UK are cheaper than those in North America.
so i should have no problem booking then? im in Chicago and want to get a room in Cancun in late january thanks steve!
The only problem some have found is their credit card being declined due to their bank suspecting possible fraudulent activity (card being used online for a charge in a foreign country). Give your credit card company a call first and things should be fine. Also bear in mind the time difference for customer support etc, the UK is 6 hrs ahead of CST so if you need to call it's best to call early morning your time. Do a quick search on "Alpharooms" you'll find lots of threads come up with other peoples experiences. Finally, please use the link from cancuncare to book - price is the same but I get paid a small referral fee if you use my link.
Big price differance Here is a quick price check I did - April 30 - May 7, this is for the same room also... Alpharooms (Hotel Only) $875 - 2 people Bookit.com (Hotel Only) $1826 - 2 people Bookit.com (Hotel & Flight) $1156 per person (based on 2 people) Bookit.com (Flight Only) Continental - $468+ taxes per person So I would have to say to book seperate. For 2 people your looking at $1811+ taxes. Booked together online at Bookit would have been $2312 or a $500 differance. Not bad!
