We are from Canada and always trying to find the best deals online. We usually use expedia or itravel2000 but bookit seems to be considerably lower. Just wondering if anyone has any experience with them? I wouldn't want to book only to have it backfire!:banghead:
Yes, I use them quite a bit with no issues but one. If you plan on taking a Red Eye give them a call because the online booking charges you for the night your traveling as a hotel night, also watch thos if your going back the same way. You may want to book room and flight separate. We are going to use bookit for our flight and Alpharooms for our hotel. Alpharooms has had the lowest cost overall (by like $570 for our week).
We used bookit.com for the first time for our upcoming trip (we leave on Monday - woohoo!!). So far all is well!
price comparison CAA travel depart nov 11/ for 10 nights 2 person 2048 all in includes air fare from Canada booked 30 days ago price today for same trip on Bookit 3098 prices change over time so check frequently and book when they go down, try using an insured adjent from your country but do book! I use different companys all the time checking prices every day, pays off in the end
to be fare I checked CAA and they are now at 2982 today , but would still use them because they are TICO.
Hi we booked our 1st trip to Temptations thru book it about a month ago. We had no problems..............we booked hotel only and saved about $300 including airport round trip transfer. We booked 8 nites for $1200. We bought the trip insurance thru them also and it was $80 bucks and that is included in the total price I gave you. We leave in 17 days!! Will let u know after if we experience any issues!!
We've used them for trips to Mexico and Jamaica as have my son and his wife without any problems. This time orbitz was several hundred cheaper for us though.
Hope you have a great time!, I,m not going to Cancun till April, maybe I'll see you on a return trip. The TICO thing is just a gov't insurance that protects the consumer should the Company go under, Travel insurance usually does not cover that.It happened in Quebec a few years ago a travel agent like Sunquest ( but not) went bankrupt leaving hundreds stranded and out of pocket. when the company is based out of Canda you have no recourse.
Thanks for all the info! We might see you in April. We usually try to get away the last week in March or first part of April. We want to go in February but we have to go to a damn family wedding in the Mayan! We are going into TTR withdrawal!:biggrinbandit:
