    Wedding

We tried to plan a wedding through the resort we leave next week and was met with so many problems we changed our mind. We rented a private catamaran for a half day for 12 people with open bar for under $500. I couldn't see paying the resort 1200-2200 for a 30 minutes ceremony on the beach. Also to make it legal in Mexico they do send someone to the hotel to take a blood test which I was not ok with so we are doing a legal ceremony when we arrive back in Texas. Make sure they look at all the options before they pick to domitmat the resort!

Hi Bart/Annette, congratulations to you both and your son.
After we checked out all information regarding a wedding in Cancun we decided to have a very small civil wedding at home and left for Cancun that evening where a couple days later had a renewal of vows on the beach. It was everything we wanted and were very happy.
The reason we didn't do the wedding there is - blood tests, documentation would have to be translated into Spanish, and then once you get home translated back to English. This is all extra from what they quote you however they do make you aware. Temptations has a few selections and different costs and they were pretty good at explaining everything you nedded to know.
We had a very wonderful planner who was in touch with us before we got there.
Though technically we were married here in Canada my memories are on the beach, a wonderful pastor and the ceremony was wonderful/beautiful ( Sand ceremony)
Though maybe things are different as far as Canadian and American because two days before we had our ceremony another couple had the wedding. And theirs was beautiful also.

We still talk about doing another renewal of vows, someday..LOL
    Good Luck and Best wishes

They exchanged vows and were legally married in WA a few months ago. The TTR wedding is more of a ceremony and big party for family and their friends. We want to help them to have the same beach memories that you have.

Our plan is almost the same. We are doing a small legal ceremony with a Justice of the Peace, and our immediate family...parents, brothers, sister, children, but no friends. (the thought of seeing my mother in law topless at TTR was enough to have a family wedding at home) Three days after that, we head to TTR with a small Canadian contingent of friends (and a couple of Brits) Allowing a few more days for international stragglers to arrive, we will then be having a "Renewal of Vows" ceremony on the beach and then the Honeymoon begins.:aktion031: (We are actually only bringing down 4 newbies with us, the rest are friends from TTR.) As far as we are concerned, our technical wedding will be at home, but our real wedding memories will be at TTR. (Besides, who wouldn't want topless tequila volleyball in the background of their wedding pictures?):flash:

Temptations wedding planner found us a photographer for a really resonable price, "not professional" but she was for us we loved the pictures and we have them on a disc. My only proble was music, they will ask you if you want your own music, we had a cd our daughter made it for us.. it didn't work and I think that was our fault, but they had music and it worked.
Your going to have a blast and yeah the memories are well worth the money would do it again.
Cheers and Congrats to you both
