Just curious to see if any TTR people have been on the cruise they promote once a year? I think the next one is Feb of 2020. We have been on a cruise ship for a wedding for a few hours but got off when the boat was going to depart. I notice all the kids running around. Not our idea of fun, but if the TTR cruise is no kids allowed we would be more inclined to go on one. Just wanting to hear of experiences.
The wife and I are pretty interested in the cruise. It’s leaving from Tampa and sailing to Grand Cayman and Cozumel I believe. The rooms start out about $2300+ and then $350pp for fees tax etc! Not many people have booked so we’re gonna give it sometime before we decide to go or not.
I am wondering about the cruise as well. I'm sure it would be a good time, but I don't see how they sell out an entire cruise ship when the hotel has around 450 rooms. Does this mean it is TTR style for one deck, while the rest of the boat is normal cruise passengers, and likely families? It would be a little distracting to have to be on guard for families and kids who didn't understand our group. Either it's a lot smaller ship than I am imagining, or there at least 5 times more guests coming than a typical TTR week entails, and the hotel is not sold out completely most of the time. I'm sure the cruise company wants to fill the boat, and I am wondering where all the other cruise patrons are coming from and who they might be.
From reading about it, it’s the whole ship that will be TTR style. I looked at the rooms and only about 75 are reserved right now. The cruise isn’t until Feb 2020 so it has time to fill up. If you go look at the Desire Cruise that is this year a lot of their room options are sold out. Hopefully the TTR Cruise will yield the same results. Also I read which I didn’t see about the Desire Cruise is alcohol is included up to a $12 drink.
