Anybody run into anybody they KNEW when visiting TTR

A neighbor, co-worker, friend etc......


last time I was at ATLANTIS i ran into a fraternity brother I hadn't seen in 15 years...

 

we've run into people we know on vacation...........never at TTR but in other places

 

One of her co-workers has been to TTR before, luckily not at the same time as us!! Evidently the co-workers PARENTS are members at TTR! :icon_eek: More power to 'em, but I'm not sure I would want to know about my parents going to TTR... :icon_razz:

 

Andrea ran into a girl she went to HS with. Was suprised how much she had changed since she never thought her the type to be at TTR.

Last year before our trip we were talking to a lady that ran a local horse riding park about our trip. She asked what resort we stay at. We did the whole... uh.. um.. Blue Bay Getaway... She said, oh thats where we go. We were not sure if she meant the family resort, stammered a bit, and then she said, you know the topless one. We laughed a bit, and talked about how we don't usually go around telling everyone we go to a topless resort. She then told us that on her last trip, she ran into her sister while there. Neither had any idea the other was going there. She said her husband got to see a little bit more of her family than she had bargained for. But they all had a good time.

 

you will see me topless on June 16......my sister won't be there....lol

 

Every year we meet more and more from previous years!! Just one big happy family around!! :daveandmo::wave::wave::ladiesman1:

 

actually redmuller, who is on cancuncare now, lives in my town, he and I would see each other at our local bar/restaurant....well in 2006 I went with 4 friends, was at senor frogs grand reopening party, thousand people there, I hear someone calling " Jim, hey jim" ..figuring theres a hundred jims i didnt turn around, until he tapped me...I said holy shit, a guy from my town is here, we talked for a bit then that was it, ...next day , Im boiling my hang over in the lazy pool jacuzzi and he walks around the corner... so not only was someone I know in Cancun at the same time with out knowing it, but the person was also staying at the same hotel.... now we pre plan and he's on this website...so no more surprises lol

 

have run into two old friends at the airport. once when we were arriving and he was leaving. the other visa versa. that was weird..
however...... once we were sitting in a hot tub in jamaica au natural at 2am when another of the couples noticed jamie accent...... found out they actually worked with jamies father who is a attny and a judge back where she is from. :aktion025:
dont know who was more uncomfotable at first , jamie or them :icon_surprised::icon_redface:

oh yeah!! forgot, ran into a couple of guys at TTR that we had met in jamaica ten years earlier. that was a good time.:daveandmo:

 

We have never ran into anyone we knew but in 2006 on the flight to cancun we noticed a huge group of people that were from our city. One was sitting next to us on the plane, Chatted a bit and found out that they were going to be at the BBG. Intrigued a bit they asked some questions which we could tell they have never been there before. We told them it was our second trip and we would be at the party pool.

We ran into them one night in the sports bar and some of their younger group seen more of our group then they expected to see at the party pool. Our room was behind the quiet pool and we did see them one day as we were going to the party pool.

Never seen them much at the resort, never seen them at the party pool never seen them around town was a bit wierd.

 

We ran into a couple that we know from Calgary this trip. We were going for lunch and standing by the tree when she grab my leg. I was drunk and it still didn't hit me until later after lunch when she corner me in the pool grabbing me from behind. Lol too funny but of course it was also our last night.
