Doc seemed ok; but he seems affiliated with Hospiten which was not recommended by Steve etc. Looks like my wife has a marginal fever and some slight infection; we are flying out tomorrow so wanted her checked out. Doc gave her some medicine and ruled out strep on inspection (but doesn’t have rapid strep test). Her condition at this point seems to be only marginally under the weather, so not overly worried. But was just concerned on account of warning about Hospiten.
Hospiten has a reputation for overcharging tourists but the medical care itself is usually competent. Sounds like you got a straightforward visit. If the doc didn't push unnecessary tests or procedures and her symptoms are mild, you're probably good to fly tomorrow. The concern with Hospiten is usually getting hit with massive bills for basic care, not misdiagnosis. If she's only slightly under the weather and he ruled out strep visually, the meds should cover it. Watch her temp overnight but you're likely fine for travel.
The problem with Hosipten is not the actual care, more that they are well known for paying commission to Doctors, Hotels and transfers such as Ambulances. Every worker or establishment recommends it because they are all earning commission. Obviously the extra money for commission comes from the pcoket of the patient via their bill. For a marginal fever probably best to cross the street and go to the Dr at the Pharmacist. Anything serious I'd go to Galenia
