Hey everyone! M&M here. The last 5 years, we've visited Temptation with the most recent being last Sept 2021. Too lazy to link our last trip report (sorry) but it was mostly neutral with some disappointment with the new crowds they are marketing to. Pre covid trips were a blast and we truly felt like never going anywhere else. We live in Las Vegas so we can have our fill of all the bottle service-type of pool parties we want but never do because in the real world its a huge waste of money... not to mention just silly at a all inclusive resort unless you just want to be thought of as special and take pics for the 'gram

We just got back from a 3 day business-ish trip to Cancun yesterday and while we did not stay at the resort, the entire vibe of the city once again got us in the mood to re-book for Sept this year. Some pretty decent deals to be had as well.

Question is this....with those of you that have recently visited, is Temptation still on that path with their marketing and guests or has it gotten a little more back to it's roots? Not expecting the days of Patty -O's but we would love it if the crowds were loosening up and being a little more outgoing. We know asking on this board will be a little biased but hoping for a wide range of opinions. We'll likely book but just want to see if the waters have changed.

About us...we LOVE making friends at the pool and bash and are super friendly people overall. We're super low maintenance (meaning not foodies and don't need a tower room or the DJ to turn the volume down :).) We're also in the lifestyle but don't "hunt" and don't care if others are vanilla or spicy. Just simply want to be with like-minded folks there to party and enjoy the vibe. What are your thoughts??

Was there in May. The vibe is still the same new style vegas nightclub type scene. No where near pre-reno days. Less cozy, no bodyshots off the bar. People seamed more distant. Still a fun party but no where near what is was

Most of the recent Trip Reports indicate that it is still going the direction that the people who know "what it was" are always disappointed... It is a shame. I am glad my membership got shifted to DRM!

Ya...it’s still heading to be a vegas style resort (big tips, bottle service, preferential treatment for $$$). They have even recently removed the clam beds from the tower roof pool area and put them down by the sexy pool to expand rental income. There were several packs of awkward dudes roaming the pool and Bash a few weeks ago, more so than normal. Lot more tops on the ladies.

There is still some pre-Reno vibe if you look for it and tune out the noise. It cans till fun and sexy.

Like John and Stacia, We have our membership based at DRM

    Don’t know if this helps.

Arriving for our Honeymoon in Sept, what are the evenings like at Bash? Does anyone dance any more or are people just standing around in their own pairs?

We were there mid-June ‘22 for our 4th trip since Covid era started and 13th overall. And we were real happy with this visit in that we felt the diversity in age was more comparable to before and the topless percentage was high! We had a great time socialize and met so many fun people!…Obviously the overall concern is very real but we felt this trip compared to the days of old more than any other recent trip! Definitely looking forward to gettIng back!

Bash is a pretty fun time (although we would definitely prefer an indoor night club). The show starts at ten and goes for about a half hour. Standard Cancun shows, maybe a bit naughtier than at a vanilla resort, but not really. The Burling Land show is pretty good, but honestly we usually don't make the shows anymore (seen enough of them).

The "world famous" DJ pushes the play button after the show and it goes to 2 am. The prime tables are "reserved" and many times empty. Every year there are more "reserved" tables, pushing the common folk into a couple of standing areas or at the bar. The bar can be tough to get to through the crowd sometimes since folks are stacked/camped there a few deep.

Theme participation is declining, pre-covid it was 60%-75%, now, depending on the night it is 25% to 35%. The large groups of single guys definitely don't participate. Women in general participate at a higher rate than men.

There are quite a few dancing. We dance at least half of the time (when the music is not horrid), either in our group off to the side of the dance floor or up on the elevated dance floor. There is some "music" the DJs start playing that is difficult to dance to, or at least enjoy dancing to. The platform empties pretty quick when the DJ plays some half hour long mix that just sucks (they don't notice or care that no one is dancing and the place is getting empty).

Around 12:30 you can tell that the crowd is thinning and by 2 am not much of the crowd is left. This can be a really fun time, as the DJ is done and a quieter/mellower music is put on so half drunk friends can actually talk and visit without yelling.

By 2:30 or 3:00 the resort is pretty chill and most are gone from Bash. A few intoxicated stragglers will be roaming the resort.

Thank you to all that gave us an update. Sounds like we'll book but temper some expectations again.

Either that or just be as outgoing as possible and see if we can get some smiles out of the instafamous folks. :)

We have been going for over 15 yrs and and I dont think it will ever be back like before the remodel.. But .... We bring the Party. Always see some old friends and always make new friends. This will be our 4th trip since the remodel and second post covid. I think its what you make of it. There is just not this much fun to be had for the price anywhere else. Our biggest gripe since the remodel is the pool depth. Use to be 6 to 8 inches shallower. Wife is not short but not tall by any means. Just worked better for us at previous depth.

We were there last week, it was our second trip this year. In total we’ve been 4 times, all post reno.

I’d say part of the vibe change is a post Covid ‘hangover’. We found people much more open this trip than we did earlier in the year. In spring we talked with a few people but never really made any resort friends for the week. Last week we had many. We felt more open and excited to meet people as well.

There are still lots of international visitors missing. We didn’t meet anybody from outside US/Canada. Way more Canadians (like us) there this time.

People also seem to be traveling in larger groups as compared to before. A few bigger groups of single guys… generally not a fan. Lots of groups of 4-6 people, which changes the dynamic. They don’t mix as much.

We’ll go back. We still had a blast and met lots of great people.
