Once you've gone to TTR,..do you plan any other vacations? I mean actual 5-10 or more day vacations. Not just to a nearby state for a weekend or to see family etc. etc. Our first trip is in 30 days (WOOT), but we are also wanting to plan a labor day vacation for my birthday. We were wondering once we go to TTR, if we would just want to go back that quick, or would be able to wait and go next year and do a different trip in September. We are such an "open" and "fun" couple, and we know the atmosphere is not likely to be the same anywhere else, we wonder if other vacations will strike us the same. I know we will at some point see a few places we are wanting like Italy, Tahiti and all that...but for now while kids are young and finances are more limited....what do you think are the chances we will go anywhere but TTR? LOL
we went to TTR in May of 2011.. we went to Jamaica and stayed at Couples Negril and Hedo II in June 2012.. We had a good time at Hedo, however traveling to Jamaica cost us about double the price of TTR which we're going to again this May..
We have to do multiple trips each year. We do one to TTR, already booked for February next year for 10 days this time. However because we have kids we also have to do a family vacation with them. The next twelve months are busy for us, London England for my son and I in August (soccer), Punta Cana in October for the family then back to TTR in February.
Nope! Since TTR we haven't gone anywhere else, bar a weekend or two away here or there (local places). TTR has everything we'd want from a tropical beach type holiday, so don't have the need nor desire to go anywhere else.
Depending on how "open" you are you might enjoy Hedo II in Negril Jamaica. We have our 3rd trip to TTR coming up May 3rd and we went to Hedo II last month. If we were to take 2 vacations a year we would do one week at TTR and one week at Hedo. Both great places but in different ways
made our first trip to blue bay (now Temptation) in 2006 an have booked all of our vacations ( other than a few extended weekend trips here and there) since that time to either Temptation cancun/los cabos, or desire my brother was asking me the other day when I was going to travel to another country? im sure we will in the next couple of years but we have really enjoyed our trips to mexico and will stay in this chapter of our life as long as it is this good. chances are you will do as most virgins do (including us) and book your room for the next trip before you even leave the resort the best rob
We also have kids, so we have to balance a trip to TTR with a family trip every year (or else my mom guilt goes out of control.) TTR has completely changed my whole vacation perspective of other resorts, unfortunately. Laying on a beach bed used to be "relaxing" and is now "dull." People making polite conversation about their jobs and kids used to be "nice" and is now "eh." Groups of topless women spraying each other with whipped cream used to be unheard of, and is now "awesome!"
Depends on where your bliss lies. As much as I love the fun and people at TTR, I split my 6 weeks vacation time up. As an avid Scuba diver, I spend at least a week each year at a dive hotel in Cozumel or Honduras, a couple weeks someplace I've never been(last year Germany), a week salmon fishing the Oregon coast and a couple weeks with my kids. TTR is a favorite to be sure... But it's not the only place I go. Everyone is different.
