For a few days, when I open Google, it opens in Mexico and in Spanish :sauer005: Arrrrrrrrggggggggggggg.............. I ran Ccleaner and deleted that bloody cookie, it was "normal" for ONE day, then it just starts again :aktion061:after I rebooted... I need to do it once in a while! For obvious reasons (at least to some of the members), I DO NOT WANT anything related to Mexico anymore :icon_biggrin:. It haunts me????? My computer is only in English, bought in the US, never had any Mexican nosing in it, I have a US connection, anyone can tell me how to get rid of that crap? I would be eternally grateful. Thanks
I found this blurb: You can add multiple languages to Internet Explorer to display webpage and Address bar text correctly. Keep in mind that installing languages in Internet Explorer only makes those languages available in websites and the Address bar. To change the language used for Internet Explorer's menus and buttons, you need to install a version of Internet Explorer that is written in the language you prefer. I would download Firefox. install that. Then uninstall internet explorer and reinstall the newest version.
In the Option Page, select Cookies and make sure that anything that says Google is NOT on the right side "Cookies to Keep" panel. If you find anything with Google in it move it to the left side "Cookies to Delete" panel. Then, go back to the Cleaner page and make sure that index.dat is checked for cleaning. If it is not checked, check it.
In your Google search bar where it says search...just to the right of that is a down arrrow. Click that go to manage then when it opens click on the search tab at the top left and see what it is set to search. Set it to US google then hit save.
Thanks, Trina, you saved my life  . Because... I use FF, and I went again to Ccleaner, there was not anymore that cookie to delete, in the cookies to keep, there is google.com, index.dat was checked, and when I ran it (just now) it was at 0KB. Anyway, I will also check with IE. Of course sometimes I speak other languages... Who in hell put my search to Google.com.mx??? :icon_mrgreen: Let's see what happens next time I reboot... in a few days. THANKS
Also, if you have a Google account (gmail, youtube, etc..) that is configured as if you are in Mexico, its will default all of the Google services to Spanish when you sign into any Google site with that account. If this is the case you have to go under the account details in your Google account and change your location and language info otherwise it will assume that you want everything Mexican style when you sign in....
