Any Divers out there??

Hi all - I'm new to Temptations and am thinking of heading out for some adventure on the 28th of January for a week.

I've read a lot of these forums and the on-land activities sound great - but I'm also keen to get some diving in. Has anyone here had experience with the local SCUBA shops?

Is the local diving even worth it?

Oh - and while I have the thread open, before making a reservation, I asked if they had any quieter rooms available. The reply was "make a reservation" and then we can request it. Does that mean there aren't any quiet rooms available or should I just go with it?

Is there a particular room "class" that would always be in the quieter area?

Not that I'm against a good party - just if I'm diving, I need to sleep.

I'm advance open water and she pool trained . Going to try a dive from the TTR instructor--Just so she can get a feel for it. I'm not expecting much but she will have a blast. 8th week feb-- Love going down

 

Cancun has some great diving spots. It is home to the second largest natural reef in the world. Many dive shops and dive locations to choose from. If you have a chance check out the underwater museum.

 

If your staying at TTR see boras he teaches diving and can hook you up

Talk to Boris by the party pool he has the best deals for diving and make sure you dive Punta Negra its a 54 foot drift dive. Now as for the rooms any place is good except by the disco bar I prefer the older part by the quiet pool, the best area is the wing between the quiet pool and the athletic pool. Tell Boris that stinky sent you he is a great dive guide.

 

Yes, check with Boris at the dive counter. You will find him on the beach, behind the bar at the sexy pool. He's an awesome guy, and will take you to a few great places. Cant wait to go diving again in April!!:mermaid:

I am a diving instructor and done a few dives in Mexico. The diving is very good and worth every penny. Just look out for the Bull Sharks!!
Boris is a top guy and will give you some good advice.
