    Greetings,
My name is Todd Pierce, and I am a medical anthropologist based in Washington, DC. My wife and I are planning to move to Isla Mujeres, Mexico within 12 months (early Sept 2008) and I am trying to network with other anthropologists in that region in hope of finding work there (or perhaps writing a grant for research with a local anthropologist). I was wondering if you or someone you know could point me in the right direction for this...

Also, there is a small naval academy on the island. Do you know how I would go about finding out information on the teaching staff there or where I should look to find this out? It would be great to land a teaching job (either part time or full time would be great!).

Any assistance that you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
You can find my online CV at my site www.HiddenCulture.com (I am a specialist in HIV/AIDS, violence, and drug abuse).

    Thanks in advance,
    Todd Pierce

I know you also have a similar post in the Life in Cancun forum. However, have you contacted anyone in the unaffiliated Isla Mujeres message boards?
