Stay safe everyone as hurricane Zeta builds strength. Hopefully not as powerful as Delta but nevertheless be prepared.
This one is nothing, no one is worried here. Still hasn't reached hurricane strength as of midday Monday
Zeta Update The storm has become a weak Cat 1 Hurricane as of 3pm. However, its track has moved further South and it is small in size. It's expected to make landfall south of Playa del Carmen, north of Tulum. That is between 40 and 80 miles south of Cancun. This means that there is still only a 5-10% chance of Hurricane Force winds occurring in Cancun. As of 3:15pm winds are picking up a little here, no rain yet. The Airport is open throughout the rest of the day. I would expect it to be open for much of tomorrow if it even closes at all. There is no need for the hotel to evacuate. This really isn't one to worry about at all, no need for thoughts and prayers. Zeta will be nothing like Delta and will be gone by this time tomorrow.
No evacuation from TTR. First band of stinging rain and wind was at 4 and lasted 10 minutes. They cleared the pool and hot tub and made everybody go indoors. Windy now but only short bouts of rain occasionally. Supposed to hit from 7-10...wind and rain. All outside activities cancelled. All boats moved, all furniture moved. Only restaurants in Tower open tonight. Party in Tower lobby and Score.
no sweat. On another note, what is the weather like in November in Vegas? We’re headed there next month for a weekend getaway...
So correction. Romanza (Italian on quiet side) is open too. Just had a quiet dinner there. Only a hand full of people at Score (sports bar) at the moment. Still no rain, just windy.
Weather in Vegas has been amazing. It has really cooled off this week. It should be 75-85 in November. Let us know when your heading this way.
