Hello Animal Lovers, This request only takes one minute the first time and about 30 seconds on subsequent days. My good friend, Mary Beth Lake, runs the Seminole County Animal Services rescue center in Sanford, Florida. The website below has a contest that runs until December 20. The winning shelter gets a $20,000 grant, 2nd gets $5,000 and 3rd gets $3,000. The winner from each state also gets a $1,000 grant. These funds can be used to further the great work of SCAS in finding homes for animals and their spay and neuter services to cut down on the number of strays. SCAS is within striking distance of getting some funds as they are in 5th place as of today. They need your vote now, and again every single day through the December 20 end of this contest. Select FL in the state section and then SEARCH. Click on "Vote" and then confirm your vote by typing in the name of the pictured animal. It's as simple as that. I am asking for a commitment of one minute per day for your vote. In the top left hand corner of the website you can click on "Daily Click Reminders". This helpful email reminder will ensure that you don't forget to vote each day. After day one, you are taken directly to the Vote page, so you only have to click on Vote and then the confirmation and that is it. This just takes a few seconds after the first day and the reminder is a huge help. I am very grateful for your help in this worthy cause and SCAS can hopefully benefit greatly.
