does anyone else get a little ocd when packing ? I have a notebook and am making a list of theme nights and checking off if I have it then on that same page I have a list of everything else we will need and checking those off when I pack them up and yup even though we aren't going until march 7th .. I am already packing lol
Not at all, LOL! We aren’t going until mid-June and even though the CCC themes haven’t been totally figured out I have already starting thinking about what I’m going to bring. My lists of favorites on Etsy is insane. Same goes for my Wish List on Amazon. When we get closer to our departure date I’ll have a list printed up and ready to check off. Hell, I’ll probably put together a spreadsheet. I’ll also have outfits in large ziplock bags that are labeled for each night and ready to go hiding in my closet so the kiddos don’t see them. I LOVE packing for TTR! Enjoy your trip! June can’t come soon enough!
Looks like we're going to be there the same time as you. And we definitely go over a checklist anytime we travel, but especially for TTR we do a lot of prep work. Though we usually don't pack until the night before we leave.
I lay all my outfits out on the bed (including swimwear!) at least a couple of months in advance and put all the accessories with them to figure out how much I can cut down on shoes and jewellery by using them for multiple outfits, and to see what I need to buy to complete the outfits. Playing with my outfits helps me feel like the time is passing quicker until my trip!
Well, if you're weird, that makes two of us! I also start months in advance, just like Match, laying everything out and seeing what accessories I'll need. All my tbeme night wear goes in ziplock bags so I don't have to dig through my bag for all of the pieces after a day of drinking at the sexy pool! And, I make sure that there's a tame version and a wild version of each theme night, so I can adjust to the mood of the crowd. I usually wind up putting the bag in a corner of the bedroom, a few weeks before the trip, so I can throw in everything I think I might possibly need. Then, the night before we leave, I take out about half the stuff I packed! I think I enjoy it so much because packing makes me think about what I'll be doing in each outfit when we finally get to TTR
I have actually drafted up a chart for my April trip that has the day of the week in the first column, the April Addicts day and night themes in the second column, what I am wearing for day and for night in the third column, and...new for 2018!...a fourth column for what I've planned for Sean to wearing day and night (now that I am married). Or what Sean is theoretically going to wear...I may have to lay out his clothes for him every morning and evening to preclude any independent thought on his part! But I am a compulsive list-maker in everyday life, so this kind of behaviour is par for the course for me.
That's the "mo" for a lot of peeps going to TTR . The anticipation turns a weeks vacation into 2 months following along with CCC.
