Hey Folks, Just wanted to let you know that Alpharooms has dropped their price for October. We just booked Halloween week for $139/couple/day. It had been running $155 the last few months. We got on board last year on that crazy deal which will never be repeated. Prior to that the lowest we have seen is $130. I had PMed Steve this morning inquiring about the statement on Alpharooms website stating that "The hotel is for UK customers only" he said he has not heard of anyone having problems. I will confirm that it was not an issue when I booked. Also on another touchy subject, I also was looking on Travelrepublic.cu.uk (where we booked 1 time before) and they specifically state that the resort is couples only and they will not accept reservations for single men in groups or individual. I have looked over my Invoice and Itinerary I received from Alpharooms and there is no mention of Couples only. Trip # 6 is booked, we got a great deal in April on airfare so we are all set!!! See you in 5 short months:aktion030: Paul & Lisa
Great to hear, I've been watching prices also and noticed the drop. We booked in January for 124 a night, but have decided to change weeks so I'm hoping to see another drop.
Following Fred's PM this morning I contacted the Alpharooms rep on Facebook who said that she wasn't aware of the "This hotel is for UK customers' message. She said she would look into it and get back to me - this was close to the end of the working day UK time so I hope to hear back tomorrow. Re the Travelrepublic message concerning 'couples only no single guys' this is similar to a message I saw when I booked with Alpharooms a week or so ago but I only saw it after the booking process on my confirmation voucher. I booked this while in the UK and others not from the UK have reported not seeing it where they are, so it could be just a UK thing. Here's my voucher for those that missed it from before:
Funny thing is other hotels in the Caribbean make U.S. vacationers pay the difference when they book via a U.K. or over sea's site. Shhhh don't tell Temptations..
AlphaRooms I tried booking with alpharooms and they keep saying my card is denied. The money is there, I emailed and have received no response :icon_redface:
Since they are in England, your bank is blocking them. You just need to call the bank and let them know what you are doing and they will let it go through.
I had the same problem, it is cause its in the UK so bank is blocking, call and they'll unblock. I still had trouble once unblocked so I just called them and it was sorted out in a few minutes and paid for. Going 9/8 to 19/8 Rob
Yes. It was on their facebook, and some of the travel agencies have it on their pages and message boards: Like here:
