Wondering if anyone took advantage of the great alpha rooms sale a few months back. I booked a trip in August and one for October. When I checked in for my August trip the resort made me sign a waiver stating the alpha rooms price was a screw up. Wondering if that will have an effect on my October trip.
I took advantage of the screw-up. This is the first anyone has said about a waiver. I check in on the 30th. I guess signing a waiver is a small price to pay for such a discount.
That's my hopes but I'm worried that the resort caught it on my august trip and wil screw me on my Halloween trip. Since I'm paid in full I hope they won't.
What did the waiver say? We took advantage of it, and 91 other bookings did too according to the sales stats.
It stated the resort is aware the price was a mistake and that alpha rooms is covering the difference but future bookings would be affected. This I don't understand as I paid in full for both trips so I can't see how the resort could come after me for any difference in price. If I would have paid a deposit I could see alpha rooms taking a stance that it was a mistake and make me pay Any difference.
Tell me about it, not only am I going there on a super sale price, we had to make a name change just to get it done. I'm sure they will screw me somehow when we check-in on the 1st, hopefully not.
I would assume that what is happening is that the resort is trying to cover themselves, in that there could be a pending lawsuit against Alpharooms for the difference in the booking price. They are, more than likely, having you sign for the purpose of getting your acknowledgement that the price is wrong. That way if they can't get the difference from Alpharooms they can come after the individuals for the gap in the room cost. thats just what I see it as but cant be too sure:huh:
