So is Temptations really all inclusive? Or is it semi-all inclusive? I'm trying to budget out our trip. We want to do the specially restaurants and the top self liquors but some of the reviews say that these aren't included. So I thought I would ask the people that have been there. thanks!
The only thing you need to pay for at the hotel is any spa packages you get at the spa, phone calls that you make, the Beach party/dinner (as it’s all you can eat steak and lobster), and things you buy at the stores. The specialty restaurants are included, although you do have to make reservations. There are some liquors available only to premier members, like the top shelf tequila, but you can’t pay to get it. Oh, if you want Red Bull at the bars I hear they are now offering it at a price, or you can go to Walmart or the store across the street and get it cheaper. The only other thing to worry about is tipping. How much you budget is up to you and whatever you choose to give will be greatly appreciated by the staff. If you head out to the Hotel Zone bars at night figure $50 pp for transportation there, entrance into the VIP section and an all you can drink wrist band. Tips are extra there too. Steve’s Boobs Cruise and any other off premise activity is at additional cost. In other words figure it’s like a cruise but with the alcohol included. Jamie
For all intents and purposes, I would say it is all inclusive, with the exception of tips. I think there are a few wines, lobster, etc at the specialty restaurants that are not part of the plan. Also top shelf liquor is only available to the folks who put a second mortgage on their house to purchase the premier membership. I have heard though that you are able to purchase any alcohol you like at the Wal-Mart before you hit the resort, and the bartenders will keep it behind the bar for you. Good luck on the plans! You have definately found the place to research! Jason
Can you bring alcohol from the states? First off the wal-mart sams is easy and awesome.. But I like flavored vodka and Mexico doesnt seem to know it exists
I am guessing you can. I dont know this for sure though. Last trip we brought several cans of the alcohol infused whipped cream with no problems.
ok thank you all.... Its great to know about the alcohol cuz I love pirate bay and coke. I will make sure to bring some down.
I don't know what is considered "top shelf" liquors, but usually you can get them to give you most brand name liquors (Bacardi, Jack Daniels, Crown Royale, Jose Cuervo, etc.) just by asking for them by name. In fact, I recommend doing this since otherwise they will almost always give you the cheap, sketchy-looking stuff that can cause some really nasty hangovers later.
