Wondering how crowded incoming and outgoing crowd is at the airport. In July it was packed several hours in line in and outgoing, terrible.
Been in July and it just depends on what day you travel, We always travel on a Wednesday seems to be less crowded. I have arrived on a Thursday and Friday the lines are very long.
We travel down on Friday's but land at 10:00am, never went in July usually November, December and February no lines that early in the am.
Yes I would say it always is dependent on arrival time. Around 12 or 1 is always crazy. 10ish arrivals feel like the airport is a ghost town.
We went this summer and landed early in a Thursday and it was approximately two hours to clear immigration. Arrive early and midweek and pray like hell there are not multiple arrivals at the same time. It’s a crap shot…
I think it's hit or miss. We arrived on a Monday afternoon and the immigration lines were long; well over an hour. The thing that irked me was that there were 3 separate lines and we were told to go to the middle one. The line on the left had 3 to 4 agents. The line on the right had 3 agents. Our line had 2 agents at first, but then one stepped away (on break?) for a long time. So there was only the one agent tending our line. As if that weren't bad enough, that agent kept calling on visitors from the left line. So for quite a while, none of the visitors in the middle lane were being called and our line was not moving. Eventually the 2nd agent returned and eventually we made it out of the airport. By the time we got to luggage claim, all the bags were already off the conveyer belt and set on the ground. Leaving Cancun is also a frenzy. Make sure you have all your paperwork: passports, immigration stub (that they gave you when you arrived), COVID19 results and the Mexican health questionnaire.
Does anyone know if they ever got the self service terminals working. It was hit or miss we used it once and it was great. Next trip it was roped off.
