Hi, I asked for airport transportation from the Temptation resort (Cancun) and they send me an e-mail asking me for credit card info etc. Is it safe to send that info per e-mail? Is that reliable? Anyone has experience with this? Thanks
It's not safe at all, but it's about as safe as telling someone your details over the phone which people do all the time. As an aside any time you enter credit card details onto a website then you should look for the prefix https: rather than http: to ensure it is a secure page. You'd be better off booking with USA Transfers, link in my signature. Not only are they cheaper and more reliable than the company TTR use ($55 vs $65 if I recall) you dont pay anything up front. Just pay the driver cash - around 60% on your inbound transfer and the balance on your outbound.
Even though hotel transfer is included with our package we think it's worth the extra money to book through USA Transfer. Premium service for not a premium price. Diana
I agree with Diana. Last year was the first year we used USA Transfers and we highly recommend them. No waiting around or dropping off to other hotels.
the way to go is USA tours for sure. they wait outside with a sign with your name and take you straight to the resort. believe me when i say that you dont want to be the 4th or 5th drop off on a shared van to the hotel. takes forever and ever...... or just seems like it :blueshock:
