We have airport transfers included in our package from our travel agent, but it is the general transfer that stops everywhere. What are some of your recommendations??? Should we book privately with USA Transfers??:beer4:
YES -- book with USA Transfers for $55 + tip roundtrip. Apple Vacations just increased theirs to $60 per person for a private shuttle. TTR is one of the first hotels in the Hotel Zone, so you're talking about a 20 minute drive from the airport. This is the quickest cheapest way to get to TTR from the Airport, and they are prompt and on-time. Here is a snippet from USA Transfers Confirmation -- -------------------------------------------------------------------------- AFTER YOU LAND: 1. Clear immigration. 2. Get your bags. 3. Press the red light/green light at customs. Then you must exit the terminal, passing two sets of sliding glass doors. As you go through the 2nd set sliding glass doors, you will be outside (in between the doors are all timeshare people and will tell you anything. DO NOT STOP). Walk straight ahead & our people will be standing there. YOU MUST BE OUTSIDE TO FIND US. Look for the sign and our staff with the USA Transfers logo. DELAYS/CANCEL: Contact us if delayed by more than 1 hour, if your flight number changes, or if you need to cancel. Email brant@entertainment-plus.net or call 011-52-998-914-0290 (from the States or Canada), 01-998-914-0290 from within Mexico. Flight numbers are the key for us to check your status. Balance: Transportation $55. Pay on arrival en route to hotel: $55 (tip not included). Amounts are in US Dollars. We accept US Dollars, Canadian Dollars (rate: 1 CAD = 1 USD), Mexican pesos (check with your driver for the current exchange rate). NO travelers checks, coins, or credit cards. PAY DRIVER EXACT AMOUNTS AS SHOWN. Anything more will be considered a tip.
YES! YES! YES! Book with USA Transfers and use Steve's link. It's the best $55 you'll ever spend! We get transfers included with our package as well but never use them. Just be sure to tell your vacation provider that way the bus isn't waiting for you and delaying everyone else's vacation! D
Well here's my take on the transfers....We will be going shortly for our 10th trip & have booked our transfer with USA. Our first trip we took the shared transfer & I'm kinda glad we did. It did give us a chance to see some of the other hotels. Obviously the downside is you arrive @ TTR a little later. If it's your 1st trip to Cancun you might want to use the transfer included in your package to save some money. After this trip most definately use USA Transfer JMO
Our transfers are included in our package too, but we book the USA Transfers. We want to get to the resort as quick as possible, the drinks are waiting!:daveandmo:
Be nice and tell your tour company your skipping their shuttle , so they don't wait for you with 40 people crowded on a bus waiting to start a 90+ minute journey .
We did USA Transfers last year with our friends we met the year prior and it was great. No complaints with USA Transfers
Good point...we did the same...our friends flight came in 20 min after ours so we shared the ride to TTR..split the cost in half :clappyinghappy:
Anyone out here that is flying in around 10am Sunday, Feb 17 and wants to share a ride to Temptations??? Please private message us if you do.
Our transfers were booked thru Expedia. Never again, 2.5 hrs from arrival to TTR. Although we did get a nice tour of the hotel zone.
