Me and my girlfriend will be visiting Cancun for the first time. Im wondering what the best way is to get from the airport to TTR. Also any other tips that would be helpful for first timers. Any excursions to recommend? Can't wait to get there (Feb.26 - March 4), super excited! Thanks in advance!!
When you get there they will try to set up an "orientation" to the resort. If we had our time back we never have signed up for it...it had nothing to do with showing us the resort, just trying to sell us "timeshares". Great for those that are interested but not our thing. Just a heads up. Don't say you weren't warned lol
We didn't leave the resort when we were there last year. There was always great people and entertainment around. However there are lots of excursions that you can sign up for and the staff on some nights do take groups out to the bars. You won't be bored!
There are lots of excursions. Depends a lot on what your interests are but for a one off we really enjoyed Captain Hooks dinner cruise. It is very close to the resort (probably walking distence) the food isnt the greatest but we were impressed with the show.
Temptation OK the airport is easy. Once your done with the green and red button at immigration. Just remember to keep walking until you actually get OUTSIDE the airport, there you will find your transport people. USA Transfers is one of the most used transport companies to get to TTR. Timeshare people at TTR are going to want to talk with you. If your not interested then tell them that, tell them your ready to party now!
Use the link on the bottom of the page USA Transfers for your shuttle to and from TTR from airport. As for the time share people once you make it threw customs keep walking till you get out side. The room before the exit is full of people trying to tell you the are with your travel place or resort just keep walking.
Check out the excursion link on this (Steve's) site! Cancun Tours and Airport Transfers Forum | Cancuncare Forum for one.
The best way to get from the airport to Temptation is to book with USA Transfers ahead of time. This is the absolute best advice we can give as far as that goes. When you check-in tell the receptionist that this isn't your first time, and then tell the timeshare people you have been here before, you've already heard the sales pitch and that you are not interested. Unless you are interested in a 4-hour tour of the hotel followed by a sales pitch (because some people actually are). You must absolutely book the Boobs Cruise through this website ahead of time if there is one scheduled for your visit. If there is not one scheduled for your visit, you can always take another boat over to Isla Mujeres and snorkel. And bring a ton of one dollar bills for tipping, give 'em out to everyone, and party like you never done before. Have fun!
