What airlines offer the best options at the lowest prices between Cancun and Calgary; Cancun and Toronto? I've got friends in both places and time to visit them this summer Who's got the best deals on internal airfares if I want to connect the two destinations? And if I just wanted to see the most interesting city in Canada where would you recommend I go?
Sign up to get emails for Air Canada's seat sales. If you shop their sales, the best prices are probably there. Go to their website to sign up. While you are there, there is a section that describes a "pass" that they sell...this might be a good thing(or not!) for you. I think it is good for 30 days of travel-you can hit a few cities. Not sure exactly how it works. I grew up near Toronto but live in Florida so I travel to Toronto several times a year. One thing I've found is that car rentals & hotels get very expensive in Toronto in July & August. I've been shopping for a car rental for a 5 day trip in July for months now and I can't believe how expensive it is this year. Anyhow, I like Toronto. Did not like Calgary or Edmonton. I'm not sure if any of this helps but my 2 cents!:aktion025:
Westjet is based in Calgary and has direct flights to both cities. Both Air Canada and Westjet are good airlines with competitive prices (for the Canadian market anyway). I believe Mexicana also flies direct to both locations.
Most interesting place? Well I was born and raised in Toronto but now live in Calgary. If you want to see mountains and beautiful mountain lakes, they are about 1 1/2 hours from Calgary. The city itself is relatively new and has grown rapidly. Population is one million. Toronto has around five million people in the greater Toronto area. It is certainly a more cosmopolitan city, with a much greater variety of things to do and see.
Brewster's right about Westjet-they have great sales, too! Round-trip from Tampa to Toronto $237.US! recently on Westjet, total. But my car rental is over $600 for 4 days.
Thank you tere and Brewster for those suggestions Who are the providers of service within Canada- the same?
Within Canada, yes, Air Canada and Westjet. Air Canada probably has a better variety of flights and sales are easier to come by, it seems. Westjet can have great sales, but not as often! Someday, I'd like to get an Air Canada 30 day pass and visit all of the places I've never been to!
