Hi all, I am a single female making my first visit to TTR (aka the elusive Unicorn that other posts have referenced, lol). I booked a deluxe ocean view room thru Expedia, but I am wondering if there is a certain room or location that I should request at check in that would be an ideal location for a single, female. For safety reasons, I don't want to be in an isolated section or a room that is a long walk from the pools, restaurants, etc., since I will be making the walk by myself and it could be late at night. On the flip side, I don't want to be next door to Patty O's either. Can someone suggest a room location that is close enuf to the action where I will find safety in numbers, but not right next door to the party? Will the front desk even accommodate a room location request in April, since this is such a busy time? Also, does the staff and security keep an eye out for single female guests? Of course, I will take common sense precautions on my own as well, i.e, keeping the alcohol intake under control, paying attention to my surroundings, etc. Thanks!!
I would not worry too much, the cancuncare group especially the April Addicts stick together and look after each other. Find some of us to walk you places if you are not comfortable. Remember safety in numbers. we are there for most of your trip we will do what we can to look after you. By the way the Got Chocolate milf........ nice
Well you've taken the first safety caution..... Unicorn! You'll make plenty of friends before going on here, so safety in numbers! Room 2101 is right beside Paty O's, literally 5 steps up and back down and you're at your room, bit noisy to say the least but after a night or two, you don't notice the noise, besides did you really pay that much money to sleep? Quiet pool area, not so bad if, but a longer walk if you forgot something 5000 block, personally I hate walking long distances, but I'm lazy and it's only a 5 min walk from one end of the resort to the next, the resort is big but small enough to not get lost, small enough to feel like home, and friendly enough to not feel insecure about anything! Have a good time and you'll be back before you know it! Btw.... Many females travel solo to TTR..... And we usually find them, hiding or not, hence our title
yeah i wouldn't worrie too much about it. just ask anyone of the addicts and they will be willing to escort you if you feel you need it always safety in #'s
Hi traveling Solo , IF you need someone to walk you to your room. I will be around the Same days as yourself. Just ask and there wouldn't be anything but making sure you get to your room safe. I've been to a few places and occasion like this and you will be able to figure out who you can Trust. Shaun
Just like others have said, you stick with us April addicts and you will be fine. We do look out for each other.:daveandmo:
as the others have said, Your only on vacation alone for about 25 minutes or how ever long it takes you to get to the pool and start meeting everyone, Ive seen plenty of single woman come alone and once they meet the Addicts group, you never see them alone again. It really shouldnt be a concern at all, if you do end up with a far end room, someone will always be around to walk you back... though I dont think the April Addicts left much room for anyone else at the resort this year, so the majority of the people will be your friends. Have a great time, Find Candadian Dos Equi Fan ( Keith) when you get there, he can introduce ya to the crew.
